Welcome Message from the Elected President for SLA/AGC 2016
On behalf of the Special Libraries Association – Arabian Gulf Chapter, we are pleased to invite you to the 22nd Annual Conference “Future Challenges of Library and Information Profession.” We hope that this conference will be highly productive and innovative in addressing current and future changes in libraries. It will bring together librarians, researchers and educators from throughout the world who are actively changing information content and access through the development of Internet and web-based educational platforms.
The Conference program will discuss the comprehensive changes in society, the dramatic advances in technology and movement of globalization of ‘everything’ have already been predicted and recognized, however, there is nowhere left with clear evidences of change more than the profession of library and information sciences. There will be presentations in Arabic and English by speakers from Arab countries and abroad. Papers will be presented in the form of Plenary Sessions, Symposia and Poster Sessions; papers carefully chosen by the Paper Review Committee.
We hope that you will thoroughly enjoy the Conference and take the opportunity to interact, share and exchange creative ideas with your colleagues. We warmly welcome you to the Kuwait. The Organizing Committee has been working diligently to make the Conference a great success.
